The 5 MW of MSW gasification project in Solo and the 400 KW to 1 MW of MSW gasification development in Bali are still in development, but there are possibilities for community-based entrepreneurial efforts for the collection and selection of MSW that will be the feedstock of the waste-to-energy plants.

According to the Tangerang Integrated Waste Treatment project, 441 employees will be needed in management and operations. Aside from the formal sector, this project is also inclusive of the informal sector. Garbage collectors, existing local workers, and supporting vendors (transportation, F&B) will benefit from the construction of this project.
